SATRAPS OF CARIA. Pixodaros, circa 341/0-336/5 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 19 mm, 7.00 g, 11 h), Halikarnassos. Laureate head of Apollo facing slightly to right, drapery below. Rev. ΠIΞΩΔAΡOΥ Zeus Labraundos standing right, holding long scepter in his left hand and double-axe over his right shoulder. SNG von Aulock 2375. Traitée II, 112, pl. XC, 20. A beautifully toned example with a particularly fine head of Apollo. Nearly extremely fine.
